Re: Degale vs Dirrell
I think degale has to stop him to win. Direll is a good enough boxer to get the home town decision.

GGG v froch would be superb, can't see froch taking it though!

Hairy - I reckon degale will grind him down and get the stoppage! He's been much better since he has stopped sitting on the ropes!

Busy with tr F1 mate? That's the trouble can't keep a result secret now, not like the days when it was 'if you don't wanna know the result turn around now' on the news!

Re: Degale vs Dirrell
Ive been impressed with De'gales progress since his loss to Groves few yrs back.

Seems to have knuckled and matured.
Lesser men might have disappeared without trace after that loss.

Yea its a really odd start time for people who live in Boston I was like 'WTF 4pm.'

Spotter is this worth going to mate? Im guessing it is since you started the thread. I might pop over and check it out I'll be in town Saturday afternoon anyways selling tickets to a festival wouldn't mind an hour of boxing inbetween some music and sales.

Re: Degale vs Dirrell
you are in Boston? Yes mate, well worth going to see!!

Re: Degale vs Dirrell
Yeah thanks for starting this thread I'll actually be in town from 11am to about 2am all day Saturday so a quick cab ride and an hour off from this music festival to watch boxing sounds good regardless.

Atmosphere will probably be shit though can't imagine many people go. Enjoy the F1 this weekend!

PS if anyone wants to post up when the undercard before it starts up so I know to leave the festival and head to the arena would be much appreciated checking WHO on my phone is far easier than anything else cheers!

Re: Degale vs Dirrell
just watching some build up on youtube, says that on the posters its not billed as a title fight even though it is because AL Hayman, the man who has shaken up boxing in US and his company are trying to move away from the title being important as they think this will encourage bigger names to fight each other in the states if its purely pride on the line rather than belts and it cuts out the red tape between boxing councils....

apparently the winner (degale) wont be presented with the belt after he wins in the ring!!

thats a bit shit!

Al Haymans company also are having standard music for the boxers entrance, so its company music rather than the boxers choice.

both these things lose a bit of the edge for me, its counter productive IMO
